Promoters donate money to freelance artist from tickets where buyers did not demand a refund

At the initiative of the three biggest organisers of concerts at the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle, the »Elbphilharmonie Support Fund« was set up in Hamburg. The fund's purpose is to help freelance musicians and stage artists directly affected by concert cancellations ordered by the authorities.

The Fund owes its financial resources to all those concertgoers who have waived their right to a refund of ticket money paid for events put on by the founding partners in the Elbphilharmonie and/or the Laeiszhalle during the closure caused by Corona.

The fund has been set up by HamburgMusik, NDR and Konzertdirektion Dr. Rudolf Goette. Other organisers are invited to participate.
