CANCELLED: Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival
The concert programme of the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle cannot go ahead as planned due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival has had to be cancelled – it will not be rescheduled on an alternative date. See all information on www.shmf.de
Castles, barns, stables and churches are converted into concert halls during the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. The festival, which offers concerts at more than 60 out-of-the-ordinary venues around northern Germany, is dedicated to a different composer each year – Carl Nielsen in 2019. This summer's Artist in Residence is harpist Xavier de Maistre. The 2019 festival presents eleven concerts in the Elbphilharmonie Grand and Recital Halls.
