Family Orchestra The Elbphilharmonie’s Family Orchestra brings three generations together with a shared passion: music.

For Young and Old

This orchestra brings three generations together: children, parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts. Music is made once a week with one another – each as best he or she can.

An equally warm welcome awaits if you come by yourself. Classical works are specially arranged so that beginners can also join in – fun comes first in the Family Orchestra. However, rehearsals are necessary of course: conductor Christine Philippsen from the Staatliche Jugendmusikschule Hamburg makes sure of this.
