Day 14: Blind Date

The first »Blind Date« concert in the Recital Hall, where the audience has no idea which ensemble or genre is on the programme. Quatuor Ebène gets everyone in a good mood and takes a selfie on stage before striking up the first piece of music.

Day 23: Concerts for Hamburg

The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra’s »Concerts for Hamburg« are low-cost, one-hour-long concerts for everybody – to give the Elbphilharmonie a try, so to say.

Day 27: The millionth plaza visitor

Brigitte Kugelmann from Landsberg am Lech, who is just on a regular family visit to Hamburg, becomes the millionth plaza visitor – to her great surpise, of course!

Backstage at the Elbphilharmonie, warming up in front of the large, curved windows is a special experience for musicians.

Day 67: DJ Ipek at the »Salām Syria« Festival

DJ Ipek, one of the hottest DJ's in the Berlin club scene, turns the Recital Hall foyer into a pumping dance floor.

Performing all Beethoven symphonies in one week is quite a challenge. Despite this, Maestro Dudamel always has a smile on his face during rehearsals.

Day 84: New York Philharmonic

In the »vineyard« style design of the Elbphilharmonie, the orchestra bows to both sides during applause – a particularly satisfying moment for the audience sitting behind the stage to finally see the faces of the musicians.
