Renting the Laeiszhalle

We are delighted that you are interested in renting the Laeiszhalle - Musikhalle Hamburg. Since 1908 the building offers the possibility to stage small and large scale events in the center of town. With its diversified premises it can be used in many different ways. Apart from concerts, the Laeiszhalle can also be used for conferences, staff meetings, corporate presentations, film- and photo shoots, as well as for gala events and receptions. You can find detailed information about the possibilities and requirements for renting the grand hall, recital hall, or foyer of the Laeiszhalle here, including information on the technical equipment available. The rental of the Laeiszhalle is subject to the basic regulations of the »Verordnung über den Bau und Betrieb von Versammlungsstätten (Versammlungsstättenverordnung -VstättVO)« from August 15, 2003.

If you require extra lighting or sound equipment, or additional stage workers, please contact Mr. Burkhard Lübke (photo right) for information, advice, and recommendations. We can also organize a rigger for you, upon request, who cooperates regularly with the Laeiszhalle.

Detailed information regarding the different concert halls

Main Hall (Großer Saal)
• 2023 seats
• The rental fee is subject to the tariff applicable at the time of booking. It depends on the highest net price you wish to charge per ticket, from a minimum of € 1.848 to a maximum of € 6.501. The main hall is rented out for a set period of 3 hours per event. In addition to this, the following services are included in the rental fee: 2 hours of set up/rehearsal time prior to the event, 2 hours of dismantling after the event; front of house staff (ticket check, cloak room, ushers,) cleaning service, lights (white)
• a Steinway grand piano (model B+D) can be rented separately
• 5 dressing rooms, showers and toilets included

Recital Hall (Kleiner Saal)
• 639 seats
• The rental fee is subject to the tariff applicable at the time of booking. The minimal fee for a 3 hour event is € 702 at the moment.
• The rental fee includes: 2 hours set up/rehearsal time prior to the event, 2 hours of dismantling after the event; front of house staff (ticket check, cloak room, ushers) cleaning service, lights (white)
• a Steinway grand piano (model C) can be rented separately
• 2 dressing rooms, showers and toilets included

Studio E
• 150 seats (variable seating)
• The rental fee is subject to the tariff applicable at the time of booking. The minimal fee for a 3 hour event is € 240 at the moment
• The rental fee includes: 2 hours set up/rehearsal time prior to the event, 2 hours of dismantling after the event; front of house staff (ticket check, cloak room, ushers) cleaning service, lights (white)
• a Steinway grand piano (model B) can be rented separately
• 1 dressing room, showers and toilets included

Chorus Room
• ideal for small scale events, as well as for wardrobe changing and warming up
• offers room for app. 60 people
• variable seating
• The rental fee is subject to the tariff applicable at the time of booking. The minimal fee, without usage of the piano, is € 20 per hour

Brahms-Foyer
• The Brahms-Foyer is on the level of the grand tier and restaurant, center of the interval activities. It can be rented for receptions, film- and photo shoots or concerts
• For concerts, the foyer can seat app. 120 people, or offer standing room for app. 400 people
• a Steinway grand piano (model B) can be rented separately, plus cost of transportation
