Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle:
Two venues, one future

The Elbphilharmonie will give Hamburg a new identity worldwide as a city for music, and represents an important milestone for the city on its way to becoming a musical metropolis. The HamburgMusik gGmbH – Elbphilharmonie und Laeiszhalle Betriebsgesellschaft, under the direction of General and Artistic Director Christoph Lieben-Seutter, is the driving and guiding force in this process. Our aim is to strengthen the position of classical music leading up to the opening of the Elbphilharmonie, and to define »concert going« as an up-to-date and attractive part of modern life. The Laeiszhalle – Musikhalle Hamburg represents the fundament of this musical development of city life; both halls will be managed under the auspices of one firm, HamburgMusik gGmbH.

The HamburgMusik gGmbH is the presenter of the »Elbphilharmonie Konzerte«. The Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle Service GmbH offers the city's orchestras and private promoters a platform for a more successful future. The conscious building up of a wider audience, visible communication of the venues in addition to the offer of concerts can only be a benefit to everyone.
