Doc Sound in action – serie Wilhelmsburg

Three concerts in various Hamburg districts, one concert at the Laeiszhalle.

The Elbphilharmonie goes out into the city with its new children's concerts. Dr Sound goes into action in Mümmelmannsberg, Jenfeld, Wilhelmsburg, and Altona before returning to the Laeiszhalle for the grand final concert. The Hamburg percussion group »ElbtonalPercussion,« the Ensemble Resonanz, the saxophone quartet »clair-obscur« from Berlin and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra will present lively, humorous, magical music from Telemann to Haydn and on to Bernstein.

The presenter and musicians are there to carry away the children and adults into the colourful world of music – if only there weren't this strange Doc Sound who goes round collecting noises like other people collect stamps. He wanders desperately around throughout Hamburg with his so called »sound agents« trying to find that one special sound that still seems to be missing in his collection. Will he find it in the children's concert? Or should he look in the harbour after all?

With generous support from PWC Foundation and Andres Cramer.

In cooperation with the Bürgerhaus Wilhelmsburg.
