Hamburger Ostertöne
Within only five years, the Easter Festival »Hamburger Ostertöne« has firmly established itself as part of Hamburg's cultural calender. Under the artistic direction of Simone Young the festival has always impressed with its inspired programme that traces the musical connection beteen Brahms and the present whilst presenting music in context with other cultural disciplines. Film and literature also play an important role, and the Brahms-Café - being part of the festival - is the place to meet and relax.
Words, texts, voices - sound, time, space, movement: the cosmos of the Ostertöne in 2010 centres around voices in all their varieties and new spatial experiences. We focus on vocal music of different genres and the works of the composer Mark Andre. Musicians will be play from different areas all over the concert hall in the piece »... auf ...« while live electronic effects complete the sound. Christian Tetzlaff will play Johannes Brahms' violin concerto, and soprano Deborah Polaski will appear in one of her rare lieder recitals.
