Elbphilharmonie Foundation

The Elbphilharmonie Foundation uses its donations and earnings to privately support the city's new concert hall. The aim is to relief public spending and support exceptional projects.

The foundation was set up by the banks M.M.Warburg & CO and the HSH Nordbank AG in October 2005. As a private foundation it sees itself as an initiative of the people of Hamburg who wish to support the milestone project of the Elbphilharmonie.

Thanks to the exceptional support of many citizens and companies, the foundation has already amassed a sum of nearly 68 million Euro. We are very proud and thankful for such generous support!

The foundation supports the building of the new Elbphilharmonie to the extent of 57.5 million Euro. The remaining money will be used to support future concert programs and individual projects surrounding the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle.
