A Panorama of Poland's Complex Music

Poland celebrates the 100th anniversary of its independence in November 2018. A welcome opportunity to turn the spotlight on to the music of our immediate neighbour to the east. Together with the NDR’s music ensembles, many Polish orchestras, ensembles and soloists demonstrate over a period of three months the many facets of the country's music, which reflects Poland's varied and often-sorrowful history.  Within this focus on Poland, the NDR and its music ensembles make a special contribution with a set of 11 concerts entitled »My Polish Heart«, a number played live and a number as radio broadcasts.
